Folko, the artist name of Folko Pepijn Koolhof. He was born on the 22nd of September 1982 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Folko was born in a musical family in a very musical environment. He enjoyed playing in his father's music studio as a little kid. At the age of 8 he started composing electronic dance music, and since then never stopped. Folko grew up in the so called 'tracker scene' on the internet and witnessed the birth of many nowadays popular dance music styles. During high school he started doing live sound jobs for his father's rhythm & blues band. Together with the Taborak Brothers they have recorded multiple studio albums and produced numerous singles throughout the years. In 2021 Folko started taking piano lessons. Throughout his career he has had multiple jobs in the music industry. In 2022 Folko graduated cum laude as a Music Producer and Pro Audio Engineer.
